Nativity Auditions set for Timothy 5, Alpha, & Omega Levels

Nativity auditions will be held Saturday, August 29th for our Omega, Alpha, & Timothy 5 dancers. Please see the schedule below:

(Please note that Timothy 1, Timothy 2, Timothy 3, & Timothy 4 do not have formal Nativity Auditions. Their acceptance into the pre-professional program serves as their audition. Official Nativity auditions are reserved for the upper levels to assist in the casting of solo and demi-soloist roles.)

Saturday, 8/29
9:45                  Omega 1 & Omega 2 dancers arrive. Peach studio open for warm-up.
10:00 - 11:00    Technique class with Ms. Theresa
11:00 - 12:30    Audition with Faculty

2:00 - 3:30        Audition with Faculty


Audition Attire: Please wear your favorite solid colored leotard. (Camisole, tank, or short sleeve styles only. No long sleeves, please.) Pink convertible tights, soft ballet shoes, and pointe shoes are required. Please make sure your soft ballet shoes are presentable without holes. Please make sure all of your ribbons and elastics are neatly sewn on your pointe shoes and excess satin is trimmed off of your shoes if necessary. Hair should be in a neat and tidy classical ballet bun. No scrunchies. Hairnet required. Light make-up is required.

Audition Etiquette: Arrive on-time. Late auditionees will not be allowed in. Please remain attentive during the audition. Regular classroom etiquette applies including no talking, no leaving the classroom, no turning your back on the instructor, no leaning on the barres, and no water breaks without permission. Please limit your questions during the audition. If you make a mistake, it's okay! The faculty is assessing potential, not perfection. Work hard to be resilient and not show frustration during the audition. Your faculty is there to support you and is setting you up for success.

Remember: Auditioning is a necessary part of any dancer's training. Treat it like a performance opportunity. The faculty is looking for engaged students with positive attitudes. Smile, relax, and be God-confident!
