Due to rising concerns regarding the number of company dancers quarantined from contact tracing from establishments outside of Steps of Faith, along with the number of company families wishing to self-impose quarantining as they prepare for Christmas vacations, we have decided to amend the last week of company classes to one day of class per level only at the studio.
After careful consideration, we have determined that this will be the best of both worlds: Allowing students the opportunity to come to the studio who were counting on seeing their peers and faculty in person one more time before closing up shop until the New Year, while limiting the overall traffic in the studio and extended daily contact. (Steps of Faith has not had any positive student cases thus far, and we wish to begin our hard-earned Christmas Break keeping that record in tact!)
Please note that this week's amended class schedule is optional and students choosing not to attend for quarantining purposes or Covid concerns will not be penalized. We just know that many students were looking forward to "pajama day", and we are trying to be respectful of everyone's needs and concerns. (Students who are quarantined may Zoom into class if they wish.)
If students would like to make-up any missed classes due to the amended schedule, please see your lead teacher, and they will arrange it for January. Of course, this is completely optional.
